PHPEdit and WaterProof

PHPEdit has been created in 1999 by Sébastien Hordeaux and has been developed in the early ages as a personal student project by creating step by step a developers community.

In October 2001, version 0.6 is released.

In September 2003, version 0.8 is released.

In April 2004 with some of the most active contributors, a company called WaterProof SARL is created to give the project a new way, more professional. Sébastien Hordeaux lead the company since then.

In June 2004, version 1.0 is released and becomes commercial.

In November 2004, Bastien Hofmann is hired to lead PHPEdit development.

In April 2005, version 1.2 is released.

Version 2.0 is released in January 2006 based on important internal refactoring to speed up release cycle.

Release 2.2 is published on april 2006, release 2.4 in june, release 2.6 in august 2006, release 2.8 in december 2006, release 2.10 in april 2007 and release 2.12 in june 2007.

A big development starts then to convert the application from Delphi to C# to help in multiple operating support and improve development efficiency.

Release 3.0 is published in september 2008 and release 3.2 in march 2009.
